Michael Bindleglass was one of the first interns for the growing company, LeagueApp Sports in NYC. He worked his way into the company and is currently in sales. Mike gave a great look into the industry, telling us that the majority of their market is the youth sports and recreational league market. By integrating technology, coaches have the ability to spend more time on their players, build better playing experiences, and grow as an organization. Currently LeagueApps has 30 employees and are looking to double this. He is looking for driven, motivated interns.
His advice to students?
- Attend conferences
- Read blogs (like #sports)
- Come up with a better answer in interviews than "I want to work here because I love sports" or "because I love this team." Instead, give an answer about your involvement and passion with the ideas behind sports -- the work ethic, the dedication, working hard to be successful, etc.-
